Billomat automatically collects and stores information in your server log files, which your browser transmits to us. These are:

- Operating system
- The websites from where you visit us
- Your visit to the linked page on our website
- Host name of the computer accessing us (IP address)
- Date and time of server request
Your IP address, i.e. the address at which your computer is accessed on the internet, is not stored along with the other data. The data collected in the process are only analysed statistically and cannot be traced back to you. Collecting and processing data help us design our website to suit our requirements.
Billomat collects personal data, in particular when you register. As such, your company name, first and last name, street and number, postcode, city, country and email address are requested. You can add additional personal data voluntarily when creating an extended profile.
Billomat only uses personal information for the following purposes:
- To accept, process and execute your order / contract
- To provide services in connection with making available electronic keys, access codes and other data that are required to access our associates’ sites, so you can avail yourself of products, updates or services
- To transmit data to industry protection agencies or the credit system, whose job it is to prevent fraud

- To notify you of our services with regards to innovations

We only transfer personal data to government bodies and authorities if required by law. User-related data collected as part of this agreement is usually deleted or blocked if need be at the end of the calendar year following the end of the contract.
If statutory provisions or third party rights are violated, Billomat reserves the right to store your user-related data even beyond the cancellation or blocking of your user profile for a reasonable period until the facts of the matter are clarified.
Cookies
Our websites use what are known as cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser. Customers who work on Billomat’s system online are connected to a secure server that encrypts their information and all traffic as well as passwords, insofar as the customer is paying for the service. This makes it extremely difficult if not impossible for third parties to gain unauthorised access to your personal data.
In developing our retail system data security has top priority. We use firewalls to prevent unauthorised access to information. In addition, we use Secure Socket Layers (SSL) to encrypt your personal data and therefore protect it from being improperly disclosed, destroyed, modified or exploited.
Users’ rights
On request we notify you without delay and free of charge in accordance with the law whether and which personal data we have stored for you. Entries may be modified or deleted at the user’s request. If it is not possible to delete data due to statutory retention requirements, your data is locked until the retention period expires, i.e. the data is excluded from further use.
Billomat wishes to keep your personal information as accurate and up to date as possible. If you find the personal information we have about you is not correct, please inform us in writing or by email at the address given below. On receiving your request Billomat will attempt to clarify the matter and undertake the necessary corrections, additions and deletions as soon as possible.
Besides this, it is up to you whether you wish to make your personal data available to Billomat or not. You can also revoke your consent to us to process your personal data for marketing purposes at the address given below, if you have ever given your consent to this previously.
