Introducing Billomat's creators

Simon Stücher

Managing Director

Simon Stücher (29) completed his training as a media designer for digital media (gaining the distinction of best-in-class at examination) with Schäfer Shop, one of the largest European mail-order companies. At Schäfer Shop he was in charge of back-office development of the company’s websites. In 2001 he founded a web agency which he ran first as a sideline and later as a full-time occupation. There he specialised in web development using the Content Management System TYPO3. During his (unsuccessful) search for a simple and convenient billing solution he developed Billomat. The next step was to develop a business model for Billomat so that its advantages could be made available to others too.

Simon has been an enthusiastic internet user from the start and maintains his work-life balance by biking, climbing and slack-lining.

Steve Mattuschka

Sales and Marketing

Steve Mattuschka (41) decided very early on that his path would lead to owning his own company. Following his course in European Business Studies (until 1995) his first job was in the international sales department of a large machinery retailer. There he was responsible for business with South America. One of his tasks was the development and completion of an internet trading portal for the printing industry. At that point in time (1996) the internet as it is known and used today was still in its infancy. Infected by the internet bug, he developed an affinity for the World Wide Web and the endless possibilities it offered. Further milestones in his career were the founding, development and successful sale of a marketing services company for freelancers (2000).

After a number of years as an export manager with an international company, he founded Billomat in 2007, together with Simon Stücher. At Billomat his main responsibility is to ensure that as many people as possible learn about Billomat and begin to use it.

Markus Möller

Software development

Markus (32) is the latest member of the Billomat team. As a graduate in Business Information Systems he possesses several years’ experience in software development. Before changing to Billomat in July 2010 he was employed with various internet and advertising agencies in Cologne and Siegen, where he worked for companies such as Nokia, Thomas Cook and the Friedhelm Loh Group.
At Billomat he sees to it that a range of long-awaited features find their way into the software even more quickly. In doing so he doesn’t only think in zeros and ones – he lives and loves Web 2.0.

He spends his free time with his family and otherwise spends every free minute using his explanation engine Twick.it.
