What details do I need to provide about my contacts?

What do I need to know about my customers in order to register them as customers on Billomat? Nothing. Neither a name, nor an address, nor an email address are necessary to create a new customer.

You only need to assign a customer number. The prefix can still be deleted while editing, so that only the minimum amount of digits is contained in the customer number. This way it is possible to skip customer numbers or to save them for particular customers.

Mandatory details for contacts

It’s quite another story for contacts. Naturally, in this case, the customer number is omitted, however, you will need to enter a description. Otherwise it is your choice which information you want to supply and which not.

In general, it is recommended to fill in the company’s data in the customer section and, based on this, to complete the information on the contact person, the departments, mailboxes, etc. in the contact section. This way, it is easier for you to keep track and to choose the right address faster and more safely when you’re sending the invoice.

In case it is the other way around, that is, you have more information on the customer than there is space in our text fields, you can simply create user-defined attributes for your customers. These work not only as check boxes, but also as text fields. This way, no information will be lost!
